According to the entity, the companies added 480 new contacts at the event, from the United States, Canada, Chile, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Panama. The products in greatest demand within the Peruvian textile and fashion portfolio were polo shirts, cotton T-shirts, dresses, and children’s clothing.

PromPerú increasingly enriches its agenda of international fairs and events for the promotion of textile and fashion exports, hand in hand with important foreign allies. Between January and June 2021, the country registered exports of clothing for 723 million dollars, 86% more than that registered in the same period of 2020.

Peruvian textile products currently reach 92 countries in the world, of which the United States accounts for more than 50%. The country hopes to close the year with foreign shipments of textiles, clothing and fashion for more than 1.5 billion dollars and get back on track with its goal of exceeding 2.2 billion dollars in exports by 2024.
