The National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI) of Argentina announced that its textile laboratories will be able to certify the quality of the garments produced at the regional level for the multinational Adidas.

INTI will validate sports garments for the Southern Cone.

The information was provided by Rubén Geneyro, president of the organization, in the framework of a visit to the sportswear firm RA Intertrading, which a few days ago announced the investment of $ 350,000 to expand the production plant that it owns in the city from Buenos Aires.

“We have been recognized in our textile laboratory by Adidas international, so that they can do their tests here in Argentina. It is a contribution that we make to the national industry ”, expressed Geneyro.

Thanks to this collaboration, the INTI Textiles laboratory will carry out analyzes of various quality parameters for local companies such as RA Intertrading, among others. The organism will be able to evaluate aspects such as construction, the response of color to the conditions of use, permeability and resistance.

With more than 800 workers in its plant, RA Intertrading manufactures sweatshirts, soccer jerseys, polo shirts, shorts, jackets, pants and swimwear, reaching an annual production of more than 2.5 million garments. In the medium term they plan to increase this number to more than three million items from the expansion of their production matrix, with investment in more equipment and the incorporation of around 200 jobs.

His clients, in addition to Adidas, include other important sports firms such as Nike, Puma, Reebok, Kappa and Project. Under agreements with these brands, Intertrading also produces soccer jerseys for Boca Juniors, Vélez Sarsfield, River Plate, Racing Club, San Lorenzo and those used by the Argentine soccer team during the Copa América.
