The ILM draws a positive balance of its edition from September 4th to 6th. After a forced break of 18 months, the leather goods fair has lost none of its appeal, the organizers sum up. “The new start worked extremely well,” said Arnd Hinrichkap, Managing Director of Messe Offenbach, about the astonishingly good frequency during the trade fair days.
“You can literally feel that the audience needs the ILM and that they are happy that we can take place again,” continuedkap.
A total of 207 exhibitors took part in the ILM. The trade visitors came from 27 countries, including England, France, Switzerland, Benelux, Spain and Italy, Russia and some Asian countries. The international share, despite Corona-related travel restrictions, was almost 20 percent.
In addition to fashionable bags and small leather goods, this is apparently also attracting business in the business and travel segment. “The trade fair exceeded our expectations. We did a great job and, above all, were able to win many new customers from abroad”, summarizes Peter Bellenhaus, who with Porsche Design has shown the ILM flag for the first time.
Runway shows and lectures determined the supporting program. At the same time as the face-to-face event, the ILM will also be launched as a Virtual Order Show. Buyers still have the opportunity to attend the ILM Virtual Order Show until September 10th.
The upcoming premiere of the XTRA Order Days in Offenbach, which is to take place parallel to Fashion Week from January 19 to 21, 2022, was also a topic of conversation. “In addition to the ILM, we will offer big brands and new talents a great stage with the XOD and open up further order options,” says Arnd Hinrichkap, describing the new platform for business and networking.
