Ikkivi aims for 100% size inclusivity, launches new campaign

Ikkivi, a multi-brand e-commerce platform dedicated to sustainable fashion and lifestyle products, plans to be fully size-inclusive by June 2022 and has launched a size inclusivity campaign with a group of influencers.

The platform retails clothing by eco-friendly and sustainable womenswear brands including Kanelle, The Summer House, and Ura Maku among others and is working to add size-inclusivity to its business values, the company announced on Facebook. Ikkivi’s new size-inclusion pact promises to provide garments in sizes 2XS to 5XL with no added cost for larger sizes. 
“Inclusive sizing is an important part of ethics and ethical fashion,” Ikkivi’s founder Nivi Murthy told Vogue India. “We opened up the idea to our designers, and they were immediately adaptable to it. 16 of our 29 apparel designers have agreed to sign it, and we have made it mandatory for the new designers to comply.” 

This September, the platform will launch a size inclusivity campaign to promote body positivity by partnering with influencers who work to do the same. “Our intention is to create awareness in this space and offer people worldwide the opportunity to buy sustainably made clothes in a range of sizes,” said Murthy.
“Gripped by and in many discriminative and cultural practices, the normative fashion system has affected scores of us, objectifying and reducing us to little more than our bodies,” Ikkivi announced on Facebook. “We spoke with six women from all over the world who are challenging the fashion business in influential ways and trailblazing powerful conversations on the subject, showcasing the urgency to look into contemporary models and issues that impact us at grassroots levels.”
