Thomas Freude has to leave Adler. This is what the “Manager Magazin” reports, referring to the company group. Apparently the CEO has not been able to come to terms with the new owners of the Berlin Zeitfracht Group.
With his restructuring concept, he may have met with too much skepticism. Everything seemed so harmonious in August: “I am delighted that the bankruptcy proceedings at Adler can be ended as early as the end of August thanks to the good cooperation between all those involved,” said Wolfram Simon-Schröter, who heads Adler management together with fashion expert Melody Harris -Jensbach supported, shortly after the takeover by Zeitfracht.
Together with CEO Thomas Freude, they wanted to quickly strengthen Adler’s e-commerce focus and optimize the logistical processes through consistent digitalization. The attempt to increasingly sell Adler textiles online, however, is said to have had little success so far.
Freude’s management style and the more medium-sized thinking of the new Adler owners were also not very compatible from the start. A successor for joy has not yet been named, the existing management will initially continue to run the business, as the magazine reports.
